Located in the building which once was the George Washington Hotel, which played host to famous writers and musicians back then, Freehand retains the building’s characteristic façade but with a completely refurbished interior. The common spaces are colonial style with earth tones, wood and leather armchairs, and decorative plants. The rooms have a more sober touch and feature works of art painted on the walls by students of the prestigious Bard College. To help guests make the most of their stay, the hotel offers fitness classes, concerts and cultural workshops.
