London Mithraeum

In 1954, the famous archaeologist W.F Grimes discovered the ruins of the Roman Temple of Mithras. At London Mithraeum you’ll find the ruins, now restored and sound and light effects that will transport you to third-century London. The museum offers a multi-sensory experience that captures the mystery of the Roman temple and the time it was built. The excavation uncovered more than 14,000 objects and artefacts that are also on display. Also, on the ground floor you’ll find the Bloomberg SPACE, where contemporary art works are exhibited.
