The centre occupies the warehouses of the former Arganzuela abattoir and its 148,300 m2 now house photography, fashion, film and design exhibitions and dance, music and theatrical performances. Matadero Madrid defines itself as a living and changing place, open to participation from all in order to create, reflect, learn and enjoy. Its aim is to foster encounters and dialogue between creators and the public.
