The Principal
London
A pair of interior designers, Tara Bernerd and Russell Sage, acquired the old Russell Hotel, known for the historic building that housed it, modernised it and made it into The Principal. The interior design maintains the elegance of the Victorian façade, though the designers’ approach is more discreet. The bedrooms are based on a neutral palette and, while they include certain modern details, they preserve a classic air. Among the different restaurants to be found inside the hotel, the best is The Palm Court, a casual space, replete with plants, where they serve teas and cocktails.
