Courtyard Lisboa

IN STORES

LISBOA

The concentric and radial layout of the garden planting on the existing flowerbeds, protected as an integral part of the palace complex, refers to the Portuguese colonial expansion around the world. A chromatic rainbow, distorted in its earthly dimension far removed from celestial idealisation, forms the heart of the intervention.

JESUS MORAIME’S WORK STANDS OUT FOR HIS TALENT
IN ACHIEVING A BALANCE BETWEEN ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE, SPATIAL FRAGMENTATION, THE USE OF WATER AND HIS VAST KNOWLEDGE OF IBERIAN VEGETATION.

For the edges of the ramp leading from the street to the large glass cube and the interior of the shop, tropical plant species were chosen, the same as for the rest of the shop. Nature in the urban environment and exotic evocation and the textures of the fabrics are the conceptual basis of the landscape intervention by Jesús Moraime’s studio for Massimo Dutti in Lisbon.
