Chamberí metro station, opened in 1919, was one of the stations on Madrid’s first metro line. It closed in 1966 and in 2008 reopened as a museum where the visitor can take a trip back in time and discover the Madrid of the 60s. The ticket offices, the tiles in the hallways, the benches, everything has been kept just as it was when the station closed. One of the biggest attractions is the advertising posters from the 1920s.
