Museum der Dinge
Museum der Dinge

a museum that traces the history of German design from the 20th century until today. Ashtrays, teapots, chairs and objects of all kind are brought together to tell a representational story of how the culture of mass production and industrial manufacture over recent decades has influenced how we design objects. The objects are accompanied by written archives that give context to the exhibition and offer the visitor the opportunity to learn more about the subject. Between objects and documents, the permanent collection has 80,000 items.
