A museum which aims to bring the world of design to the people and integrate it into their daily lives and leisure pursuits. This private institution has the largest and richest collection in the country, but its founders, Liu Yiqian and Wang Wei, want to do more than just exhibit art, they aim to promote culture and an interest in art. The different exhibitions cover all types of art, from traditional Chinese art, to modern and contemporary Chinese art and contemporary European art. The building covers an area of 33,000 m² and forms an ecosystem of inspiration and talent that is unique in Shanghai.
