Monasterio de Pedralbes
Monasterio de Pedralbes

Inhabited by Poor Clare nuns from 1327 to practically today, the Monastery of Pedralbes is a group of stunning, little-known Gothic buildings that give you the chance to travel to the past and discover the history of the Catalan capital from a different perspective. The three-storey cloister is one of the monastery’s most outstanding spaces. It is a spacious and harmonious place where there is a feeling of peace that you do not usually experience in a big city. It is surrounded by the community’s other rooms: the church, the bedrooms, the infirmary, the chapter house and St. Michael’s Chapel, which stands out for the beauty of its fourteenth-century paintings.
